Venue

The conference will be held in the Huxley Building (Department of Physics) of Imperial College London, located in the South Kensington campus. It is ideally situated in the heart of the museum and shopping districts and right beside Hyde Park, allowing you to make the most of your visit while at the symposium.

Travel Information

Air: London's main international airports are Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and City. From Heathrow, Imperial College can be reached by a direct Piccadilly Line service, while London City airport is served by frequent Docklands Light Railway trains to central London. The other airports are served by frequent rail services into London.

Rail: Imperial College is easily reached by Underground from London's main rail termini, whether for domestic (National Rail) or international (Eurostar) rail services. In particular, the Eurostar now arrives into St. Pancras which is less than 30 minutes away on the Piccadilly Line.

For those travelling by Underground, the Physics department is closest to Gloucester Road and South Kensington stations, both of which are served by the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines. Buses 9, 10, 49, 52, 70, 74, 360 and 452 stop reasonably close to the venue. Tourist Information

Imperial lies at the heart of a cultural district that includes several prominent museums The Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum are all a short walk away. Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are about 100m to the north. Kensington Gardens is home to the Sepentine Gallery.

The shopping areas of Kensington High Street and Knightsbridge (including the Harrods department store) are also within easy walking distance.
